Symphon/x in action

Summary: A short story in which the heroines of Tales of Symphonia are Huntr/x.

Symphon/x, the most popular idol group in Sylvarant and Tethe'alla, are in a flying machine on their way to their next concert.

Raine, the oldest of the group, looks suspiciously at the food served by the female flight attendant.

“Raine, aren't you eating?” asks Sheena, another member of Symphon/x.

“We're going to need a lot of energy for the concert,” adds Presea, the youngest member of the group.

“That's true!” said Colette, taking a big bite. “Ohhhh, I feel weird.”

Colette holds her stomach with both hands. Raine glances at the flight attendant. Patterns appear on her neck.

“I knew it!” said Raine. “Look at those Patterns! She's a demon.”

The flight attendant reveals her true appearance.

“Ha ha ha,” she said, “I poisoned your food!”

“What!?” said Sheena, surprised.

“No...” said Colette. “I suddenly feel weak.”

“Without an antidote, our chances of survival are five percent,” said Presea.

“Symphon/x, you're doomed!” said the female demon.

“Not at all,” Raine said calmly. “I suspected something was wrong with the food. I didn't eat anything!”

“Nooooo!” said the demoness in an overly dramatic tone.

“What's more, my power over song allows me to heal wounds, including poison.”

Raine begins to sing softly. Colette, Presea and Sheena are immediately cured of the poison.

“It doesn't matter!” said the female demon. “You'll never make it to the concert alive!”

The cockpit door burst open and a demon came out. It was the pilot.

“I'll give you a hand,” he said to the demoness.

“Idiot! If you're here, who's piloting the flying machine?”

He barely has time to say “oh” before the flying machine noses toward the ground. Everyone is tossed about by the outside air currents.

“We have to do something or we're going to crash!” said Colette.

“I'll take care of piloting the flying machine,” said Raine, “and you take care of the demons!”

“Understood!” said the rest of Symphon/x in unison.

Colette, Presea and Sheena sing. Their weapons appear: a charkam, an axe, and sacred paper talismans. They eliminate the two demons to the tune of medieval and pop music.

Meanwhile, Raine reaches the cockpit and takes control of the flying machine, averting disaster.

“Phew! That was close.” Raine picks up the communication radio. “Colette, Presea, Sheena, is everything okay? Have the demons been eliminated?”

She hears a loud “yes” and smiles. Nothing will stop their concert from happening.
